Every writer has their process, their journey, and this is mine.
One may consider the book market to be saturated, and it is, but what of genres? When scanning the books on the dusty old shelves of a thrift store or in a big corporate giant, we have the privilege of choice. Do we choose the fearless protagonist or the quiet overcomer? The mystery or the romance? What about both? Or neither?
There are so many options and due to that, writers like myself have many options to pick from. I’m happy to share that I have a book on the horizon. It is Christian fiction, filled with character development, curiosity, conviction, adventure, redemption, and possibly a tad bit of fantasy. It’s the immense amount of choices that we have, even within a niche, that can make the writing process so long, yet we have the opportunity to grow along with our characters, if not more so.
My advice, and something I have begun doing is to pray before every time I write another chapter in my novel—one moment.
Although this is not a novel, I wanted to take a moment to pray. I believe that if I put my advice into practice with every piece of writing that I hope to publish in the sphere of fiction and articles like these, I will see something beautiful come forward from the pages. I hope that for you too.
Pray, Christian. Pray before you type. I hope to share more advice with my fellow Christian writers, maybe in the future, but for now, I wanted to share that my book will be out hopefully soon. I’m new to the blogging world. It’s like an open diary, isn’t it? At least this style is.
God bless you,
Your sister in Christ
